Yeps, did some test laps and after 8 laps I have a half red left fronter...but I can keep it stable in this situation So I think I can manage to keep it to the end for 24 laps... but if I just have one slider it results almost every time in a hot hot tire .... That you can not cool down if you want to drive around in a "rather" fast lap sequence.. Cu on track Sunday !!!

I'm in need of a setup for the UFR. I wanted to see which car I could do better laps in. I have a setup for the XFR.
Thanks

Thanks I think you've got the set Man you were flying to day on the last race, I could not keep up, nice!!! I was on with Xtian the other day, and we were talking about how to get the most out of the UFR. So I looked in the LFS forum for some hints on controlling the UFR under hard braking, and someone suggested stiffening up the front suspension to reduce weight transfer. I did that, plus I took the gearing from a setup for a as2r setup I had. It seemed to work pretty good. I could maybe stiffen the front suspension a little more, the back of the car wants to step out under braking in turn 1 on me. I think we had magnets in our cars hans, we kept racing each other. I hope I didn't cut you off too bad. I haven't checked the replay yet, but I will. We were really going at it. Cya on the track.

Controlling the back on heavy brake can also easely be controlled by adjusting the Brak balance :
To much to the front : blocking of front tyres - understeer to much to the back : Back steps out - oversteer
So play with it and if it is nicely balanced you can play with the force.
But here on this combo the most difficult is of course at T1 because it is downhill. I have the experience not to brake full power at the beginning, because the car is still "jumping" over the hill.

yesterday we had 3 nice Practice races. Also the "Safety Car procedure" went well I think and did what it should do. Bringing back the action. I have noticed though that the extra drive trough makes the penalty for flipping to heavy. When flipped I think that you lose easily 2 rounds. @ Jyeutsch : we will think about the un-lapping thing. But it makes it very difficult for the admin to see when we had a nice row again .. the sign for the safety car to come in and resuming the race.. Remember that also we have to see what is happening, press some Function keys for automatic text and still have to keep the car on track. @rasta : Watch out for the pit exit lines.. In an official race, crossing them results in a 20 seconds penalty add to your finishing time and can result is loss of finishing places. ( see rule 10.2 )

I also think the drive through penalty for using Reset is excessive. After all, you have already lost an entire lap. That is enough penalty in itself.

I agree. The safety car procedure seemed to work like it was supposed to. And the practice race using the safety car rules helped to see where things needed to be tweaked etc. But when the driver that flipped is already a lap down by the time the field comes around the track to where he flipped, I think that is enough of a penalty itself. The driver that called for the safety car is at least a lap down, if not 2, depending on how long it takes the other drivers to catch the lead pack and line up. But it's whatever the admin's decide to do. I just like to race.

Hi guys First time for me in this league... Interesting combo this one, because the ufr is fast, but it is easy to overheat the clutch and the xfr is rather tricky with the tyre temperature..and who will survive the hill. If you end out to the left of the hill, you can easily get stranded there on the grass, because there´s a tiny and nearly invisible hill that your car can´t come over..hmmm Hope to see some of you guys on the server tonight. Could be funny to get some race practice with you guys I find myself too alone on the circuit normally.

Yeps, again welcome tomorrow night.. don't forget to read the rules so there are no mistakes or lose some places because of penalties afterwards.. just remember it's all about close exciting but fair racing... I've just watched on sywix and saw you and Scatter online, but when I was there.. nobody there ..must have mist you guys by 1 second.... Tomorrow I'm again the whole day flying with both feet on the ground (flightsim) in Uccle (Brussels) . But I should be on time tomorrow evening.. Until tomorrow !!

My personal race report.... Started 3th for the first stint...made huge mistake on start and lost 2 places... on turn 1 I was hit slightly by Jyeutsch, on the chicane uphill I was hit again by Jyeutsch, turn up side down several times to end with the sky up , tires down..., because SHIFT-P may only be used in first lap of Qualif but NOT in the first lap of the race, I had to drive back to the pits for repairs..when I came out I was 1 lap down on the first 5 racers and driving in 9 th position, just joining newbie Cachi was 10th.. But with the Schummi spirit, never to gave up, I started to fight back and got myself un-lapped by Cidoum, Jyuetsch and Xtian. to finally and 5th on the grid. So I think I can be proud on that result but could have been way better and stint 2 is proof of that... I started 5th and after a few laps I was first and stayed there untill the end. I could hold newbie Cramer off my back with a gap of a few seconds and drove it home safely the last laps with the margin I had build... And so I won my first official Race over the three seasons.... pitty is was only a stint .. SO I ended 3th overall.. I think it was a good race. With 8 finishers out of 10 in the first race and 9 out of 10 in the second race. There were some incidents and are under investigation for "to" close racing and some for crossing the pit lane exits. Cu on track !!! Hanziboy
