I only have 1 head and 2 arms and no machine to make 48 hours out of 24 Nice to read some are actually waiting to read the news about the last race. I hope to find the time to write something about it down this evening. Like always I also wait to publish some results after our "reviewer admin" reviewed the race for incidents

My race wasn't so good. First thing I did wrong was to use r2's. About halfway in the race my tire temps were dark blue, and I couldn't get any heat in them. I finally had enough off-road excursions to give me enough suspension damage that I could feel the difference in the steering, so I headed for the pit. Before I pitted, I hit F12 and made the change to r1's. After I did that, I started turning some better laps. Then came the flip. I was hoping it would land on it's wheels, but not this time. All I could see in my visor was tarmac, so I hit Shift-P to get off the track, and that ended my day. All I could do was hope that I had made it to the 80% point, which thankfully I had. I still can't understand why you guys are 3-5 km/h faster down that front straight. I was using Cramer's set, and he was faster than me down the front straight. One thing I noticed is that I max out at 8500 rpm in top gear, while you guys can push it to 9000 rpm. Maybe that's a side-effect of the auto-shift. dunno @towz-T - Sorry for getting in your way buddy, but like Hans said "Never give up"!!! You could have limped to the pit for repairs, and still finish better than I did. Plus, you would have at least earned points for finishing. So don't give up so easy next time your race isn't going exactly how you want it to. Keep digging (american term for keep *trying*).

I'm reviewing the replay now. I'll get with hans soon so he can put some race news on the page. Like hans, I only have certain hours a day. So be patient. As they say "good things come to those who wait".

indeed. i forgot that you can repair everything in LFS, when your suspension is gone in most games, its over. i would still have tried to put up a good pace and race. i hope to do better in the ROC series

One thing I noticed is that I max out at 8500 rpm in top gear, while you guys can push it to 9000 rpm. Maybe that's a side-effect of the auto-shift. dunno I checked what you said, and I think you reach 8700 RPM´s and a topspeed of 213 km/h. I reach 9000 and a topspeed of 215km/h. Your line into the last 2 corners seems fine. So i am thinking you maybe had lowered the tyre temp or altered the downforce. Tyre pressure should be on that set 174/165 kPa for R1 and the downforce 9/7 . It reduces the top speed. If not, it can be because the auto-shift changes to 6th a bit before i do...hmm. I´m not sure if that could be the reason. For another time, if you use R2, you have to remember to reduce tyre pressure a lot..like decrease with 30 - 50 on all tyres to let the wheels have sufficient temp during a long race and better grip. Still for this race R1 would have been the best choice, since high topspeed is important on a circuit like this. A different thing, as you are not too hard to your tyres, you could work with a bit more camber or toe (more minus) and have faster turns this way. The tyres can cool down better, because of your driving style...and you can better use the the light tyres than others...of cause you have to avoid spinning, but anyway, if you are light to the tyres after the spin, they will cool down fast in many occasions. PS. The main reason for the fastest drivers, was that they had more than half of the downforce, than we had and a bit more tyre pressure, but it also makes the set less stabile.

If not, it can be because the auto-shift changes to 6th a bit before i do...hmm. I´m not sure if that could be the reason. I didn't alter anything in your set. I ran it just the way you sent it to me. Air pressures, downforce, etc, were not touched. I just changed tire compound at halfway. About the auto-shift, I notice during the replay that you guys were shifting to 6th before the last corner to the front straight. I had to wait until I got to the cones a few hundred feet after the exit of the last corner before my car would shift to 6th(about 200 km/h). Oh well, if I was only doing this for the trophies I would be very disappointed.

Yes indeed, this was a not so good race for me. I managed a decent start and after the first corner i had a good tow from UNI Cramer. Both UNI Cramer and I managed to avoid the collision between FRT27 towz-T and hanziboy after the 1st chicane. It was all going well at this point and I managed to move up to 3rd place after slipping by UNI Cramer half way through the 1st lap. I felt good car felt steady and i was relaxed. At one point it seemed i was closing the gap on 2nd place Xtian. However, by the end of lap 4 all that good work was lost. I could not get up to top speed quickly enough in any gear. I was beginning to lose time. My problem could be the setup or my foot pedal system that i use, not too sure yet but it had a major impact on me losing time. My average Lap time was 1.49.xxn not good enough to challenge anyone at all Well done to the winner. Falken AErox that was an immense drive. noticed from the replay that you are very good at getting the car in the right place to get the most out of the corners! Was impressive. to everyone else good drive Fbm can be tricky at westhill in reverse. C u all the next event

Scatter. It´s true that some others changed before the last corner, but I changed later than you. I think it was the right thing to do with that gearing.
