Hi racers, I haven't raced in this league for quite some time now, due to several reasons. But this is where my simracing "carreer" started, and I always enjoyed racing here! This will always be a special place for me. I recently moved to The Netherlands for my studies. So, I figured that it would be nice to meet some of you guys in real life some time! We have of course several options.. 1) attend a real-life race somewhere in Belgium / The Netherlands together 2) just meet somewhere and have some beers or whatever 3) sim-racing event...? 4) others?? I'm up for anything! But it has to be sometime before summer. I'm going back to Norway in early July. So, what do you say?? I don't know much about which races are actually held in this region in the springtime, but if possible I would love to go and see a race at one of the legendary tracks in the region. But you guys know more about this than I do.. is there anything happening which it could be interesting to attend?

1-2 May : Spa Francorchamps (World Series by Renault) . Free entrance normally.. The Free tickets can be optained from the internet... (but not yet) www.worldseriesbyrenault.com/I'm always there with the family. So not possible to stick arround you guys the whole day but sure for an hour or 2. I normally will be there the first may. Other events on Zolder looks nice to me to . Don't know about Zandvoort or Stassen, never been there before. So for sure interested a lot to go to an event there to (payed or not). Would love to see those circuits.

Yeah the Spa event looks really cool! I think I saw some of your photos from there on facebook last year, Hans. I also had a look at the Zandvoort schedule. On April 3rd and 5th there's a lot of action, with Dutch GT4 Championship, Clio Cup, Formula Ford, Formido Swift Cup, Diesel Touring Car Cup and the premiere of the Radical Cup. Doesn't say how much it costs, though.. The same cars return again on May 22nd and 24th. Would that be an alternative?? At Zolder there's the Belgian GT Series Kick-off on 10 & 11 april. Saw some videos on youtube, and it looks cool. But tickets are probably not free. The Zandvoort calendar has not been published yet. So.. what do you reckon? Any other alternatives..?

there are historic races at spa francorchamps, may 21 to 23rd. I'm a big fan of historic racing so I'll probably visit the circuit that week end if the weather isn't too crappy (rode the bike 200km and 200km back in the rain before, not so much fun). it usually is pretty cheap too.

Indeed a good option to .. Weather always a problem indeed .. for sure in Spa.. If it does not rain on your way to it , it for sure rain when you get there .

Hi guys, This sounds awesome!! I just downloaded my tickets (thanks for the link). My plan so far is: 1) Friday (Queen's day): go to Maastricht and spend the day there 2) Saturday morning: get from Maastricht to the track somehow.. there are trains to Liège or Verviers all the time, but I don't know how to get to the track..? Do you know anything about buses? Or could I hitch a ride with anyone..? 3) Sunday: I want some ideas!! While I'm here I might as well spend the day in Belgium before going back home in the evening. What places should I visit which are not too far from Spa? Is Liège worth the visit? Or Aachen, Nimur, Charleroi..? Looking forward to it!!

I will definetly be there the saturday, I'll have a few people to meet there for work. Gnomie, there seems to be two bus from vervier from the "tec"; LIEGE - FRANCORCHAMPS • Train : Liège-Guillemins - Verviers Central Durée entre 0h20 et 0h32 • Bus : Verviers Central - Francorchamps (bus n° 294 ou 395) Durée environ 0h45
The area is pretty rought to visit if you don't have a car. I'll be riding my bike there so I can't even say I'll pick you up somewhere.

of course I can show you around brussels on sunday if you want to. Thank you!! But.. guess what? I got a phone call today, and, long story short.. I'm going to the USA on Sunday (May 2nd)! So that means that I have to return home on Saturday night.. oh well, I guess I can always visit Brussels some other time! I will go to the train station tomorrow and find out how much the tickets are!

I, wife and 2 kids drive by car.. but I don't know hours I pass certain locations... of course you can phone me on the day itself if you get stuck... would be nice to keep each other informed with sms.. Then I can always divert to pick you up... I put my cell phone number in your mailbox here.
