By Friday evenings I suppose you mean your Friday evening, which could be possible. Going over there after our Sunday races is also possible. If it was my Friday evening though I would be busy. I join several guys driving offroad in an old game called 4x4 Evolution. That's where you go from one checkpoint to the other taking any route you can to get there. As for CTRA, SamH said it would probably be the weekend before I could get permission to use auto...something about their X-system resetting on their server. giannic - You might be far enough up the ladder to get into the open-wheel server, but I'll be starting on the ground level like Gnomie did in the CTRA1 server.

Cool! I think you'll like it. I think you misunderstood the licence system a bit, though. CTRA has two different licence types: there's once path which gives you access to the Single Seater servers, and a different licence which is used in the "Race"-servers, which are for tin-tops. So you have to choose in the beginning which type of licence you want to pursue. As you advance within one licence, you get access to higher-level servers. So you'll start with Race 1 (XFG/XRG) --> Race 2 (TBO) --> Race 3 (FXR/FZR/XRR). Or, in the single seaters, it's first SS1 (FBM), then SS2 (FOX) and finally SS3 (BF1/FO8). By the way, Scatter, did you read about the new Logitech wheel for the Nintendo Wii? It's a force feedback wheel which has got throttle and brakes on the wheel itself, so there's no pedals. I don't know if it works with a PC, but maybe someone will make an adapter..? Here's a link: www.logitech.com/index.cfm/gaming/wii/devices/4566&cl=us,en

Yes, you're right Gnomie. I was under the impression that you started with the tin-tops and work your way up to the open-wheel cars. My apologies Giannic. So Gnomie, are you saying that once I choose a type of license, say tin-tops, I can't try to get one for the open-wheel too? Because, I like both actually. The type of wheel isn't my problem, it's the fact that I couldn't hold on the wheel if I had one. That's why I just rest my hand on top of my joystick now. I have no use of my fingers or wrist. Which means no matter how the buttons or paddles are configured on a wheel or a stick...I can't use them. I'll post some pictures sometime of my setup. But thanks for thinking about me Gnomie, just wish I did have more movement than I do. But on the other hand, I could have less.

But your progress towards one licence won't affect the other one. Just drive whatever you like best! Oh, I must have misunderstood your condition then. My apologies. :/ Yes, please post some pictures! I'd like to see what it's like.

The setup I'm using for the XRG is extremely well balanced, I got it from some other dude yesterday. Here it is, in case you're interested. I get "No shared folders found" or something like that. I am interested in team racing, but like Scatter I have problems with the times since it is morning here when it is night in Belgium. I will give it a try, though.

Single seater is quiet fun, good combo's and some very fine racing. Even when being "slow" you still can get fine duels and fights as the cars give a lot of grip, so a little error while battling isn't severly punished, unlike with a XFG or TBO.

Dammit, I lost that setup too when I had to format my PC recently. I thought it would still be uploaded to that site, though, but apparently I was wrong. Sorry about that, I guess you'll have to look elsewhere for a decent set. BTW I'm glad you consider driving the XRG instead of the XFG! I believe the XRG gives you very good preparation for the faster RWD cars such as the RAC/FZ5/LX4/LX6. Plus, IMO it's a very fun car to drive compared to the XFG.
