The Admin is the first to admin they obvious have done a bad job with the calendar "Season 2". We are first to admit that error after a lot of remarks, no nobody is attacted by this, please don't take this personal. But we tought we did a nice job.. If you can not do it right then stop doiing it.. And then it is up to you members !!
Then of course we ask to you all.. What is your favourite combo?? Which combo would you like to have in next calendar and how many laps?? Please put in all your favourites!! I hope a lot of people will respond because otherwise only the people who send there favourites will have an advantage.
I expect a lot of people to respond to this !

great idea. My fun factors (doesn't mean I'm fast on it) would be
LX4 -> Kyoto GP long Formula XR -> Kyoto nat XRT -> fern bay gold/black MRT -> south city town course endurance race (long) 3 GTR->westhill RAC ->anything twisty but I love kyoto for some reason
ok, add some of the XF-UF GTR for the front wheel addicts (short track cadet/club)
one race a month, training every sunday.

First of all I think it's great that the admins take into account the recent debate and open up for us racers to have a say! great idea. My fun factors (doesn't mean I'm fast on it) would be LX4 -> Kyoto GP long RAC/FZ25 is also great fun here!Formula XR -> Kyoto nat XRT -> fern bay gold/black MRT -> south city town course endurance race (long) 3 GTR->westhill RAC ->anything twisty but I love kyoto for some reason ok, add some of the XF-UF GTR for the front wheel addicts (short track cadet/club) one race a month, training every sunday. Nice list Xtian! I have a few general opinions: 1) I prefer long tracks to the short ones. It can get boring to race on Aston Club or South City Classic for 45 minutes.. 2) I like it if we can choose from car classes instead of everyone using the same car. For example RAC/FZ25/LX6 go well together. Then the LX6 is fastest in the corners while FZ50 is far faster on the straights, so we get lots of action with overtaking. Same with XFG/XRG and so on. Maybe more people will join the league if they can choose more? Personally I think one race every second week is OK. But then again I have quite a lot of time to practice, so I guess I shouldn't speak too loud.

Nice idea Hanzi. And btw, nobody accused of putting together a bad calendar imo k.. here is a list of favo combo's. I have not raced one of them so i have no idea how they actually drive. But i do know that i always want to make the races as lifelike as possible. That said i will explain why i pick which tracks. First of all let's head down to Australia for the Australian V8 championship. There is not a real australian car in LFS but i think the FXO GTR looks like it a lot. Another added bonus to only allow the FXO GTR to race is that that car will actually be used for a change. If you put together a GT race with the choice of the 3 big GTR's that FXO GTR won't ever be used because it is the slowest out there. Now you will have to use it. As track i suggest an aussie looking track and i think Fern Bay suits that enviroment best. Take the longest configuration and you have Fern Bay black with the FXO GTR. I have no idea if rev is better or not lol. Race should last at least 1 full hour with 1 obligated pitstop. Race 1 : Fern bay black (rev) with FXO GTR : 1 hour race with obligated pitstopNext up.. the Youstated nights . Who thinks about car racing in the states thinks ovals. So ovals it is. Now you have to choices. Or NASCAR or IRL. There is no car that come close to a NASCAR so we can't take that. There also is no indy car but the FO8 comes close. So the FO8 at the oval in Kyoto. Of course racing on ovals always means turning to the left so not the rev version but the original one. How long should this race be ? Easy.. who has never heard of the 500 miles of Indianapolis ? So 500 miles it is. The oval in Indianapolis is 2.5 miles long so in Indy that is 200 laps. The Kyoto oval is only 1.9 miles long which comes down to 263.16 laps. We should clear the 200 miles so 264 laps it is Race 2 : Kyoto oval with FO8 : 263 lapsFor race 3 we come to Europe for a real rallycross event. The most obvious car in rx ofcourse is the RB4. Rubbing is allowed but trying to finish is the first goal. Blackwood rx is according to me the best rx track out there. And take short races. 4 races of 10 minutes max. Race 3 : Blackwood rallycross with RB4 : 4 races of 10 minutesRace 4... The european formula 3 championship. Held every year in the streets of Pau. We only have South city so South city it is. I think the "town course" layout is best for this event. This event consist of a sprint race and an endurance race. In the endurance 1 pitstop is obligated. Race 4 : FOX at South city town course (rev). 1 race of 15 minutes and 1 race of 30 minutes with 1 obligated pitstopFor race 5 we go to the FIA GT series. Gnomie said before that he likes longer tracks better. This because short tracks can get boring. I don't agree. With a few cars on a long track you are often driving alone. On a shorter track you get into traffic more often. For example when lapping someone. So I picked a short track for this event. FIA GT cars ride on shorter tracks as well. Like Zolder for instance which is only 2.3 miles long. So my pick here is Fern Bay Gold. No idea if the rev is better our not. Cars to pick from are the XR GTR or the FZ50 GTR. GT's means endurance racing. Normally a race is 2 our 3 hours. I pick 2 because 3 is a little to long lol. Race 5 : Fern Bay Gold (rev) with FZ50 GTR or XR GTR : 2 hour raceRace 6.. We go to Japan for a european race over there. The Grand Prix F1 of Suzuka. We don't have Suzuka but we do have Kyoto. And everybody who knows the Suzuka layout knows that the suzuka GP long configuration vaguely resembles it. So that's the track. Duration is easy. An F1 race is approx 310 km long. So that is 42 laps. Race 6 : Kyoto GP long with BF1 : 42 lapsRace 7 is a fun event. A fast car on a tight, narrow track. The smallest race car in LFS : the UF GTR. A short, narrow track : Aston cadet. The rev version seems to be better. 2 short races : 20 minutes. No pitstops obligated Race 7 : Aston Cadet rev with UF GTR : 2 times 20 minutesRace 8 : world championship touring cars or WTCC. Only 1 car can suit this and that is the FZ50. We need a track in England where touring car racing is very popular so Blackwood suits it best. I'm not a big fan of the rev config so let's take the original one. Again 2 races here. A sprint race of 15 minutes and an endurance race of 40 minutes. Race 8 : Blackwood GP with FZ50. sprint race of 15 minutes and endurance race of 40 minutes with 1 obligated pitstopwell.. that's it. My calendar. I have not tested any of these configs yet but they seem to be most lifelike. Maybe some races are to long lol. I like longer races where you actually need to look at tyres and fuel consumption. In 45 minute races you hardly ever have to do that. And i hate obligated pitstops. Races should be fought out on the track, not in the pits. Probably some of the events should be shortened (like the indy oval lol) but that's up to you guys.

Nice list, but races ones a mounth is to less. Then we really get bored of that circuit with 3 test races. I think that the frequence of every 2 weeks is good now. Also for somethmes very short to pratice a lot.. but after a while it is less needed because the tracks and cars begin to be more and more known.

I like it where the track is just long enough where careful racers can just make it to the end without pit stop. But will blow tyres if there go to hard on them. And other can go much faster at the end because they've mad a pit stop. Large negative point about this races is that you have to test this out if you want to perform well and this means TIME. something I don't have a lot.. 2. With a lot of shame, I have to say I don't have studied the cars a lot to know witch car are fitted to race together. But indeed more chose makes a race more exited and colorful. So If anyone knows what goes together or give us a link with info, we will sure put this in next Season !

I also love long races more then the short onces.. But I also know some people are not up to it (SLO_Scatter : arms - Sennaboy : feet). But the largest mistake many people made, and I made to.. Is to much forcefeed back !!! It can be very demanding on the arms.. For Sennaboy surgery is the only solution. As said before.. long races means deciding to pit or not.. and this means at least 2 full race tests.. a so a lot of test time .. something I don't have.. so from time to time I will have to relay on the tests of someone else.. but with an other driving style and and setup it can result in something completely different.

a lot of good ideas here. Maybe you're right, one race a month only give EVEN MORE Time to some people to practice while i'll still have not time to test race whatso ever. I like long races, but I also like them on short tracks because they cause more action, lapping or being lapped is still more exciting than racing alone for 2 hours because there's not enough cars out on the track and I'm just too lame to follow the leaders. I love class races with different cars that need different strategies, this is also why I prefer non mandotary pit stop. let the race build his own strategy.

just an idea to add some action. of course it would need more racers but we could do a 2 heat race a la le mans, with both faster (XRR-FZR) and slower (XFR?) cars on track and each racer would have to swtich between both cars from one race to another.

Would love to organise this, this would only mean we do have a lot of racers.. Wich is not the case right now. Only 6 yesterday evening But there are races like this organised on other servers .. Maybe to begin we would try to compete in one of those with an LiveForSpeed.be team ?? Main goal of this event would be to make more advertisment for out league.. So participating could be with names as LiveForSpeed.be.1 and LiveForSpeed.be.2 instead of Sennaboy or Hanziboy. Just like I did on the Gum Race last sunday. Who will look for a race like this in the near future. And that is of course another direction LiveforSpeed.be could folow if the racers amount does not increase.. Is stop to organise the own races. But participate as a LiveForSpeed.be team on different other leagues.

maybe we need a place on the forum where people can post the races they want lfs.be to participate. I'd be ok to take part as www.liveforspeed.be46" this summer (june...) but I would keep the .be championship, it's the only way we can designate a .be winner and keep people around (why would anyone need this group to aprticipate only to other championships?)

I'm too new to LFS to have any favorite combo's. I'll just go with what you decide on, and try to do the best I can.
