Yesterday evening was an learn-able test race .
We were only there with 5 drivers and qualified : 1: Gnomie, 2: Sennaboy, 3: Hanziboy, 4: SLO_Scatter, SLO_Knuckles. 50 laps later this was the same finishing order... ;D
Due to the special "South City roll over rule", we all said in the race. The new rule worked nicely I think. And If I'm not mistaken we all needed the rule once during the race.
Therefore we will allow this rule for the real race :
1. When you are turn up side down during the race, you may reset the car .... BUT you are force to make a drive trough !!!! And watch out for the yellow line on pit exit !!!! You don't get this penalty on your screen, but if you don't take it, you will be disqualified after wards. The penalty has to be taken in the next lap.
Also an extra attention on the rule : NO overtaking during Yellow flag situations !!!!
On this circuit we have to allow that the racers slow down on a yellow flag situation without begin scared a follower should overtake him. In fact we will not allow a full throttle on a yellow flag situation. South city is to dangerous were often a car is upside down just behind the corner. So in the review we will check if the racer does not stays on full throttle during those dangerous situations.
Cu on track Hanziboy

When you say no overtaking under yellow flag, you mean we can still overtake the car that has flipped but no other cars, right? Because if you flip, you can't reset if other cars have stopped to wait for you, because of an automatic precautionary measure that has been programmed in LFS..
And yes, we all flipped yesterday. I somehow managed to flip in the last corner before the long straight. I didn't even touch the wall, I just hit the curb a little too hard. So: it really pays to drive carefully!

When you say no overtaking under yellow flag, you mean we can still overtake the car that has flipped but no other cars, right? Because if you flip, you can't reset if other cars have stopped to wait for you, because of an automatic precautionary measure that has been programmed in LFS.. Of course you don't have to stop for the person that is up side down ;D.. that would be very stupid.. But just like in real racing, you have to pass the obstacle with caution. So reduce speed so you can avoid the obstacle that can be just around the corner. But often when you have the next racer in line in your mirrors we don't want to lose time and let the other one close in on you.. That is what we want to avoid. If everybody slows down and does not overtake you, you don't have to fear for that. If racers don't slow down we often see they hit the obstacle and then the one waiting to reset his car has to lose a lot more time and wait until the other car is again gone... Therefore I also would love it when LFS would get real Safety Car procedures.. It brings the whole pack together and can bring back some of the action in a race. We would be able to do this or self if we call out a SC procedure. Then the first car could play as SC until the other car is back on his feed and has to stay there for 1 lap. Then just like in F1 the lapped cars could continue there lap and join back at the back of the racing grid. We could say a SC prcedure is for a minimum of 3 laps max speed 120. tyres and brakes would cool down... A lot of things could come in order... Like closing the pitlane .... All things that can be done.. but makes it so more difficult for the admin to race when you try to get an eye on the race and be sure the rules are followed.. If we would get to much racers, then I would be the first to give up my poor racing skills and play that SC and really control the race to make it more real... But with the 5 test racers yesterday ...this still is not the case

the new house is taking much more efforts and time than expected. to this day, what was supposed to be my office still looks more like an irakee bunker. Not sure I will be able to have a desk ready for sunday. what's the rule if I don't have time to practice? start allowed from the back or no race at all ?
