A Christmas present from Kunos! Just google it and download. Since I'm at home I won't be able to play for another two weeks, but check it out if you can!

The demo lets you play all the tracks, though. (in 1.02 you could only access one track) And, most importantly, the multiplayer is a lot more stable and generally far better than in the old version. People are very positive, both on the lfsforum and racesimcentral.

played it yesterday.
tried only 1 track (in GB somewhere). it is great fun. it shows that you have to go to the limit of these cars to get round the track. the handling feels realy great and the multiplayer is great as well. but when you have the slightest of touches, your whos suspension is gone. (tried with someone: he stood still, and i ran into him at the amazing speed of 3 km/h and my left front wheel was 30° off. his rear axle collapsed, wich is a bit strange);
still lot of wreckers on it. This games doesn't forgive a mishap, and the brick walls are very, very solid.

Before I waste my time downloading and installing netKar, do any of you guys know if auto-shift can be used? From what I've read about it, that might not be an option. So I didn't want to download it, install it, then find out I could use it.
Thanks

Auto shift is not possible I'm afraid. I'm getting hooked to this now. Extremely good fun! It's quite different from LFS, and it takes some getting used to, but in my opinion it feels amazing. I'd recommend those of you who can to check it out! The demo is free, and it gives you one car and all the tracks. As towst said the driving standard in demo is of course not very high, but there are exceptions. Dead Men Racing are hosting a server where we try to keep the standard up. If you have any questions, just ask.

Did you successfully manage to install the program, or did you get a blackscreen when trying to install? If I were you I would probably ask for help at the netkar forum here. It's probably easy to fix. I've had some great racing on Spa Francorchamps the past few days! The car feels great on that circuit.

My pleasure. Glad you like it. I recommend trying out the Dead Men Racing 2 server. There's usually someone on every night from ~ 20:30 or so at night. Tomorrow there is a one-hour race with the demo car at Aviano. Here is the Dead Men Racing website. Here and here you can find more tracks, among them Spa Francorchamps. Good luck!
