Hi , race 4 is out of the way. some remarks ... Why o why , do I always have to say .. leave each other some room at the start of the qualify.. and why o why do I always see that racers start the qualify way to close to each other.. . Therefore I think it is necessary to work out another qualify system.. I'm think about 30 minutes to complete your max 2 hotlaps. or to launch drivers every 5 seconds at the end of the pitlane. Also If you have messed up your hotlap , go out of the way of other fast racers... Don't destroy the hotlap of them to !!! I also have seen that a lot of racers had not completed there 20 laps before the race. Therefore we will check this more closely before the race. SO Sywix will run on Saturday evening around 12 o clock. Racers that have not completed there 20 laps have to start from the back of the grid, as noted in the rules. For the rest I saw 1 racer doing 3 laps instead of 2 , I saw racers crossing the pit exit lines... etc etc... But after all I had a very good first part of the race when climbed from 10th (due to bad qualify) to 3rd. This mostly because I was one of the few who was on a 1 stopper. Then I made a terrible mistake in the downhill chicane and broke my front right suspension , until I was out of the gravel and in and out of the pit.. the race was over for me and I was last but one.. I did not give up yet and could take the 6th position eventually.. So for sure not one of my best races but I could limit the damage after my terrible chicane mistake.

well, sir, the server being down for a couple of days interfered with the 20 laps routine, for me anyway; I finally did them offline. It looks like we do need another qualy procedure, I just hope it won't take too long. (imagine an hour long qualy, a pause and an hour and a half of race, that's 11,30 pm) maybe we could use sywix as a pre-qualification? to assemble group of faster/slower driver (that idea came up after a chat with sennaboy).
as for my race, I worked on a very consistent set up that would even tyres temp if not make the car fast, so I had no problem with the tyres, but somehow in the middle of the race the car felt uncomfortable and I never really felt it as it should be. I lost it while riding through antoher accident (target fixation) and burnt my clutch. so 4th for me on that track with that car is more that I can hope for given my experience and the quality of the other competitors...

i just came back from 3 weeks of hard work, and got home just in time to race; i knew this ciruit , cuz i raced it with cramer in the TDRT league well; thats what i tought , i didn't know it was the chicane version (at the end) and kept forgetting it, and when i was in 3rd place i think in lap 13 i mannaged to screw up big time, strated braking for the chicane when i already should have been turning in. damaged my left side really bad; but "only" lost 4 secs a lap. my damage was so big that i thougt that it would take to long to repair, so i kept going, hoping that i could hang on to 4th (wich i didn't sorry for not completing my 20 laps in andvance, but was working about 100hours a week; and then sleeping in a tent, or some really nice concrete floor.

....maybe we could use sywix as a pre-qualification? to assemble group of faster/slower driver (that idea came up after a chat with sennaboy) I don't think that is really an option, because we can not control how it was driven.. We often see a lot of racers putting in a stunning lap after cutting a corner or to. And Sywix is getting his data from the liveforspeed.net server so If the user drove this combo more then a year ago then he still would have the same qualif time.. But this does not mean he is still that fast at that combo. And we lose a lot of excitement before the race. No I don't think it has to take longer then we do now, maybe max 15 minutes. but with a system where we force to "launch" the drivers at a larger distance from each other. @ towz-t : no problem , I know you had that practice with the FZR on Aston , but it was not the reverse I thought with the TDRT league. It is just some complained that they had done the 20 laps and did not see the admin taking action to the others that did not. Also to the faster racers out there be patient with the slower cars. the fact that they are slower is due to experience and more nervous of doing something wrong. So if you are overtaking during the race, do this were it is save to do so. Indeed not always easy but I guess in real live that is also the case. Remember we are a league were everybody is welcome, from slow to fast. and remember you were slow once to. ;D Hey, I still think we are one of the most fair racing league there is out there. And it is the admin's job to make it stay that way. I think we have a lot of nice racers out there with a lot of respect. Thank you for that !!!

Qualifying! Why not have 15 minutes (mentioned)! This might work better and prevent drivers from all rushing out! try at practice see how it goes.
Note: Yesterdays qualifying was 15 minutes long before lag lap started!
The race was a good one! My tyre choice was wrong and made it harder for me to maintain high speeds through most of the corners! I decided on using R4 front and rear! A mistake. I managed a new PB in Qualifying in 3rd (using R3 tyres) i was happy. Anyway can't always get it right!
Missed 1s gear at start ended up 5th at 1st turn. Kept it together for 1 Lap before sliding off track letting Karat Cramer and SLO-Scatter by. From there i slowly went back wards down the field sliding off at the same point 3 times (Hamilton at China)! R4 tyres not getting to temperature here! Made 2 pitstops. 1st scheduled for fuel tyres and fix damage. 2nd not scheduled but had to change the tyres to R3. My Lap times and performance picked up and i pushed hard to catch the pack. This paid off when after SLO_scatter made a few mistakes late on I caught up and passed! However, I made another error slowing to almost a stop with 1 lap remaining! Scatter passed and was in 7th. Like a cheetah in the jungle, I hunted that 7th place hard and I'm sure Scatter to feel me catching up. Again my hard work paid off slipping by Scatter who made a small error at the final chicane and up into 7th. That was my race!
well done to all. I expected many safety car incidents but there was not one. Cool!

I thought my race went pretty good considering I had to pit only 1 time for repairs. But I still had several off track moments. One of them I was trying to pass Rasta after the hairpin in the long sweeping left hander, but I was too cautious about not hitting him and gave him more room than I needed to which caused me to get to close to the grass on the right side of the track. I managed to not hit anything while getting my car under control, but that allowed Rasta and Cramer (I believe) to squirt away. So I decided to settle down into a rhythm and just run decent laps (2:30's). Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. I had some offs at the same place Rasta was referring to (I think), and one time did considerable damage. While getting repairs I was put a lap down by DNRT, but I was still on the same lap with Rasta so I went after him. We were both making errors, but I managed to close on him. Towards the end of the race when the time ran out I was maybe 5-6 secs behind Rasta, and he saw the time run out and was going to park his car, until he noticed me go flying through the chicane for the final lap. I was glancing at my map when I could, and I was watching his distance behind me with the lfsrelax tool. I was doing ok keeping the gap between us until the chicane just over the long uphill. I went too deep into the braking zone which caused me to use more brake than I needed and the rear of my car snapped around on me. Rasta used my error to reclaim P7 while I got back on the track and finished 6 secs or so behind him. Unfortunately, Rasta's 20 sec penalty gave me P7, otherwise Rasta would have had it.
Overall though, it was a great race!! Well done everyone!!!
