Hello! So how did it go yesterday? I saw there were at least 8 racers in the qualification. How many finished? Wish I could have been there.

Hello! So how did it go yesterday? I saw there were at least 8 racers in the qualification. How many finished? Wish I could have been there. Was very nice race for me.. Only had to restart form the 1 but last position due to push by Xtian in the first lap (cold tyres, slipstream, cold breaks...to close) ....So under investigation but could reclaim 3th position after Sennaboy had a lot of troubles with Dustinluckenbill not want to move for Blue flags..also under investigation . Only 1 person gave up (I thought Jyuetsch) Did not yet watched the replay.. I hope to do that this evening and update the standings. But I had a very stable race with a lot of damage 1 the first stint, but almost no damage in the second stint..and so I had a short pit stop. ;D. The last stint also with little damage Cu all on track

Hello it could have been a so nice race for me! But in lap 10 or 11 (didn´t watch the replay yet) I drove the hairpin too close so I had a spin and lay down on my top and couldn´t do anything than shift+p! At this moment my position was 3rd. So it wasn´t a "Giving up". Hope for a better race on next sunday! CU on the dirt track! Jyuetsch

In my first replay of the race I see I a lot of people crossing the yellow line with the whole car on th exit of the pitlane.. so 20 seconds penalties are on there way... I had hoped that the cones during the practise sessions would have customise the racers to stay behind them during race... So know I have to watch the real finishing times and start calculating.. Cu on track !!!

You had came next to Sennaboy and could not go to the let of the corner. And in that corner you slowed down to much,I had nicely at the inside with more speed then you so i've passed you on a very vlean way I think . And in turn X, I had the normal race line..coming from the outside to the inside of the corner. You go directly to the inside..way to hot and with blocking wheels..just touching my rear tyre. I fraction further and nothing would have happened. Please watch the replay in top view, and you will see I take the same normal race line like Sennaboy and see the manouvre you try.. It was impossible to pass me there but still you tried.. . No hard feelings.. But I did yelled when I went round;D ;D some snap shots... bouth starting the corner the same way. I follow normal racing line, you starting the inside. You already with blocking wheels. Still burning rubber and goiing for the inside..I'm still on the racing line. Room enough between me and the corner..no cutting I think??? Just touching... I have no problem to take the blame if I had something to do about it. (I also allready had to start from last row ..remember ), but I don't think this one was my fault.. Also wach the difference between tyre temp in the replay..Almost the same.. Cu on track!!!

This really was an interesting race from my point of view. Because of my penalty i had to start the race in last position (or at least on the final row) so i did not practise hotlaps at all. I even did not try and put in a good lap in qualy. I was happy starting last lol.
Because i had to start dead last i came up with a very strange strategy. The plan was to start with a small amount of fuel on board, make an early pitstop and then finish the race in a long 2nd stint. This strategy had a few downsides (long pitstop because i had to wait a long time refuelling the car and a heavy car for the 2nd stint) but it also had a few upsides which made me decide in favor of this strategy. These upsides were : 1. I could start with a very light car. That would maybe help me gain a few positions in the opening laps. 2. Even if i could not make up positions i would be able to push hard and make the guy in front of me loose their cool (because it would be easy for me to keep close) and make a mistake. 3. I did not want to loose a lot of time in pits repairing my car. With a short 1st stint in which i had to be a little carefull i could not create much damage to my car. In the 2nd stint i could drive a little wilder because normally i did not have to repaire that damage.
It all went very well from my point of view. In no time i worked my way up from P8 to P4 and i could stay reasonably close to Jyuetsch untill all of a sudden he flipped his car. So i was 3rd but Kenneth and Danny were to far ahead so then i decided to back down and keep 3rd. I pitted in in lap 13. A few laps later i noticed that i was not that far behind Danny at all. And indeed, when Danny pitted he came out of the pits behind me. He prob had some probs, i dunnow.
From then on i just concentrated on Danny. I did not push at all. I was looking at the difference between him and me the entire time. On the little map i saw he had some problems with backmarkers so that made it quite easy for me. I never even tried to push because Kenneth just was to far ahead. Trying to keep up with him would mean a crash for sure so i just concentrated on securing my 2nd position and that turned out to be no problem at all.

I thought it was a pretty good race overall. I watched the replay, and noted that I could have stayed out instead of pitting a couple of times. But I didn't know the damage wasn't as bad as I thought it was. I was happy just to be able to finish the race. Even though I was 7 laps down, I kept driving. The last pitstop was a mistake on my part, I didn't realize exactly how far down I was, so I pitted to fix damage. I couldn't hardly look at anything but the track because I feared hitting something or someone. I know there was a couple of close calls while I was trying to get back on track again. I hope I didn't block anyone too bad. I tried to move over as soon as I could after I saw the blue flag. Great race everyone. Scatter

Scatter Hi scatter, you are an excample for everyone.... watching the blue flags.. But..you watch to much at them. The rules say you only have to move when it is save to do so. So you don't have to step on the brakes when you see the blue flag. But in the next straight you have to do so. And DON'T brake to let them pass you..Just less power is enough.. It is not nessecary to slow down so much so others get yellow flag indications. If you are driving to slow to let someone pass, you become another obsticale. But I repeat again nice driving. Glad we have you on our league!

@hanzi
all I'm saying is you knew I was there and you knew there was a chance we'd touch if you'd cut to tight, but you chose to do it anyway. it's something that we were very carefull about at GURU when racing and practising. at BSr I often find that history is written by the winner, some racers try as hard as they can, push, bump, if they go throught, they come out as heroes, if they don't , as martyrs... and the first one to apologies if the ont to blame. eh... a generation thing maybe...

After a discussion with Xtian, we will classify the incident as a race error. Xtian came in to hot for the move, But I knew he was there and could have left more place..
2nd problem in the race was the blue flag situations of Dustin.. Both Sennaboy (2 times in the race) and myself. Were Dustin kept on driving without moving. On the other hand he was always just far enough not to slow others down a lot. So we will keep it by just a warning to respect that rule more on next races.
3th problem of the race was crossing the yellow line at the pit exit. Penalty is 20 second added to your finishing time. 20 seconds for Sennaboy 20 seconds for Xtian 80 seconds for Dustin
Xtian was behind Sennaboy but this makes no difference with also Xtian had the 20 seconds penalty. Scatter was to far behind Dustin and so also for dustin no changes. And so also these actions result in only a warning for those drivers to look into it at next races !!!
Cu on track

And you're right, I was hitting the brakes to slow down to let the person behind me around. All I can do is treat each race as a learning experience, and try to do better in future races. Keep the constructive criticism coming, Scatter
