Hey guys, Well, I enjoyed racing with you all in my first closed race. None of us were near the front, were we? ;D But Congrats to Xtian on 8th in the second race!!! Want to say sorry to Scatter. In the second race, all of us were together on the first lap close of course and I was doing my best to race clean with everyone, and I let Xtian by me on the outside on the first curve after the back straight, and Hanzi by me on the inside in the next turn, pulled in behind him clean, and some dude named (TR)Rony dove into my back right bumper on that curve and knocked me off the track, taking out Scatter in the process. I recovered to the racetrack clean, and the same guy hit me on the same place on my right rear bumper and knocked me into the wall! Can't say I appreciated that! I've got vid of it! The same guy bumped me in between those two turns and almost knocked himself off the track. I wish he had! Oh, well. I clearly wasn't competitive. But I take pride in racing clean and not ruining anyone else's race. About lap 20 on the second race, as I was marking time near the rear, I managed to roll myself over on a curve. Still, I really enjoyed my first closed race, and look forward to some events with you guys on your server. I notice that Xtian uses the LFS.BE prefix on his name as his team designation, but Hanzi doesn't, and Scatter uses SLO. What's the protocol on this? Would it be alright for me to use the team skins? I should be getting the G27 in the mail tomorrow. So, I'm really looking forward to that. Merry Christmas to all.

The qualifying went about as I expected I would do. But it seemed very crowded at times, and I am sure I'm not the only driver that had a possible good lap going only to come up on someone slower, so I had to back off and forfeit a possible better lap. It wasn't too bad though. The thing that got to me was the total lack of respect by some of those guys that didn't understand the words CHAT CLOSED. I wanted to type something sooo bad, but I would then be one of those guys that didn't follow orders. I also checked my qualify position when it was over to see if I was odd or even, so I knew which server to go to. But really, the admin should have just told us which ones went to Server 1 and which ones stayed at Server 2... like they finally did. But I'm not going to bash the admins on that, since there were a lot of drivers to get sorted. The sprint race went pretty good. There were no major incidents, and it was a pretty clean race. The feature race had a bit more drama. I was dreading the first lap when they reversed the grid because I knew that I was slower, and that those faster guys were going to be pushing their way through. I made it through turn 1 and the chicane, but the second turn after the straight got very crowded. I thought I had left enough room for people, but then I found myself going backwards and bouncing off of other cars. I didn't know it was you Griphos that got into me, and it wasn't your fault man. You got hit too. From then on I just tried to salvage what I had lost, but I could never seem to get back to running consistent lap times. Then the leaders caught me and started lapping me, which for the most part was clean. Then comes along Stig. I was going to let him pass down the straight, but he knocked me off in the chicane. Then he called me an idiot, and he wasn't even the one that got pushed off. He could have waited till we cleared the chicane, and I would have let him by. Probably a 9yo kid. The rest of the race wasn't as good as the sprint race, I started making more mistakes like the one right in front of Hans when I flipped the car in the last turn. Luckily, I landed on my wheels, but I had to drive all the way around the track with mangled front suspension. Overall, it was a good event that Matt organized. Too bad there are so many rude people that don't know how to keep quiet or read the forum thread for the race format. I notice that Xtian uses the LFS.BE prefix on his name as his team designation, but Hanzi doesn't, and Scatter uses SLO. What's the protocol on this? I probably should have used the LFS.be, but I didn't. SLO is a team I've been for years that is primarily a MTM2 (Monster Truck Madness 2) team. So since LFS.be is basically a league, not a team, I used my normal race name. That might be something I change for future events such as this, since the only other SLO team member in LFS is SLO_Knuckles. I did use the league skin which I thought was enough for advertising, but maybe not. Anyway, cya Sunday for another UFBR race at Blackwood. Congrats guys !!!

I'm in idot so I didn't catch the "even and odd" rule on the forum, and my english isn't so good so I had to do a quick googeling to translate it and I didn't really check my position at the end of qualy. I just was relieved that I wasn't the last one! I too couldn't make a decent hotlap, there were cars zigzagging all over the place getting their tyres hot at 30mph and some 1.26 bullies pushing me around so on the very last minute I waited for a clear spot and gave all I had for the one perfect lap. that's when I got pushed out of the track I must admit that I thought about leaving when we had to wait for half an hour before the server thing was sorted out. I personally don't understand this rule, you take half the pack and mix it with half the other pack... then ? why ? I dunno. Doesn't change the overall performance of the pack or level the times. I crashed on sprint race in an optimistic manoeuvre in the chicane, let's call that racing incident. I was slower because I just had two wheels on the grass, the other guy could have passed me cleanly a second later but I guess it IS a race after all. So back at teh back with burnt tyres for some time. In second race, I must apologise to scatter. I the first straight, I got somewhat stuck between scatter on my side and Griphos in front and to pass Griphos, I think I had to push you a little off your line but it was crowded and going fast so I made the move before I realised it was a little hotter than expected. sorry about that. Had a nice battle with matt for some time. fair and clean. The rest of the race went smooth, my times went down because it's hard to stay focus and motivated when racing alone for so long, the fastest guy just zooming me to disappear in the distance But I managed to pop consistent 1.27 in the end and I was satisfied with 8th. Funny that on the 40 or so racers, I noticed the names of stig and Rony straight from the qualy, probably not for good reasons. One of the inferno's wasn't such a nice guy either. Mixed feelings on the whole event for me

I've let my son qualify , because I cold not make it on time. but when I see where Xtian stranded, I would not gain a lot of places.. I was not fast yesterday... made some errors on crucial moments , losing a lot of places I also almost quited during the long wait phase but stays because you guys did. But the admins mad 2 errors : made it far to complicated even the restart they did not have to end the race as reverse start grid can be given with 1 simple command, as the admins here know. 2nd error is the same error we made with the first Senna race ... admins can't drive when organizing large events. And when you have then stupid guys the ban button is just one click away. 1st race was the best for me, second started good , was very close on passing Scatter , a bit of the same story as Xtian .. also sorry if I did something wrong. griphos: of course I should have used lfs.be.. although our website is not lfs.be.. (it is some squashclub) .. But indeed normal guys would make to link to liveforspeed.be. Earlier I've use "liveforspeed.be 69" so the url and the number I always use. The skin can be downloaded from our site. If you really want to use them I could put your number on it. Like I did for Scatter. for the rest I think i is a nice publicity to take part on such events.. For sure if I don't forget to change my name. cya arround guys

I'm not seeing any info about next Sunday's race that has been mentioned. Where do I find that? I downloaded the skins. I put my number on the UFR. I need to see skins with numbers on the other cars though to see where the numbers go on them. Xtian, I have been a good boy! ;D. Of course, the fact that I am also Santa means I usually get nice presents!

where you pace the number, does not matter, mostly on the door/ back an of possible on the engine top/front, you can download some replays to see other paces of numbers, also run through the articles. and watch the screenshots
Normally I put the next race in the calendar, but did not have the time.. and for now there are only open races on Sunday so just be there are 20.30 CET Sunday evening.
I will not be there this Sunday..

LFS does not allow enough characters un your name to use liveforspeed.be-xtian. I used liveforspeed.be-xt for some time but it was confusing and not very personnal. We could use liveforspeed.be-## for public races tho.

Same here Xtian, I could only use liveforspeed.be-Sc which doesn't seem like much of a name. Ya, I guess we could use liveforspeed.be-xx and our car number.

Good suggestion on the replays to see numbers.
I think LFS.BE-(name) makes sense. Most teams have short abbreviations of their team name. And our web address is in full on the skins in several places.
I will definitely try to be there Sunday. I have family visiting for the holidays, but I'd love to put all this practice in the UFR to good use and try out that new wheel!!

To place the car number on the skins, you can download the cmx viewer at lfs.net www.lfs.net/file_mirror.php?name=LFS_VIEWER_6A.exeIn there is the "skin info" folder that shows for every car what part of the image is visible and where (in blue). It allows you to avoid a number that is partially cut between panels. and you can easily check if it worked with the viewer application, because most skin do not respect the X/Y ratio and the numbers might appear very distorted. Another way to work is to stretch the skin image to (I think) 140% wider, put your number on then resize it to 1024 to 1024.
