As you know, some of us took part in the baby UFR christmas race. We raced BFR with 45 intake restriction and I found it rather fun because the power range is lighter and the race easier to control.
I made some quick test and found out that even devilish cars like RAC and FZ5 become possible to race with 25 to 30% intake restriction. I enjoy the RWD cars but it seems like nobody never use them for racing and they became drift toys because of the extra power and difficult control. What's your opinion ? should we ... - use restricted cars all season ? - use restricted cars one every two race as a learning ladder ? - make one or the other race with air restriction sometimes - forget about it ...

I like that idea Xtian. The 45% restriction on the UFR makes it really fun.
I would think that options 2 & 3 would be the best.

I also like the way restriction helps to "tame" the unruly cars and would enjoy racing them that way sometimes. I'm good with any of the options of using them, but would probably prefer racing without restriction sometimes.

Restrictions have one large advantage .. they bring the action closer to one another. Less speed often means more close racing.. But it can't be the purpose of the word "racing"... Racing in most minds equals speed and power.
With those power cars there also is another thing to look after.. The tyres.. because you have more power then the tyres can handle. With the power drop we eliminate that problem to and this is what would bring an extra play factor into the game..
You could go fast and demand more from the tyres, burning them up, or you could go a little more slower and save the rubber and maybe save an extra pitstop...
I don't say I'm against it at all, but mostly I would like to drive without it. We already have a learning curve in the league so an extra power drop learning curve is not needed I think.
Also power drop means easier to drive, less to practice.. Something most of us already spend to less time on !! The more difficult the combo, the more racers we see during the week.
And if there are drivers on track, we increase the chance of attracting more new racers.
more racers, more fun ;c)

I think some races with restrictors would be fun.
