Yes difficult car, and for also a car with unrealistich track behaviour but... Xtian a reminder for our rule page ( that you translated into Frensch ;D. 2.1. Chaque joueur roule avec n'importe quel nom mais il DOIT le conserver pendant toute la durée du championnat. Celui qui veut quand même changer de pseudo perd tous les points qu'il avait engrangé avec celui-ci. 2.1. Every racer chose his own nickname but MUST preserve that name for the rest of the championship. If you really want to change the alias, you can do so by losing all points earned by the previous alias. If every racer would change his alias, it would be difficult for us to evaluate the race also for others to know who's driving in front or back...

It was a good race tonight! I was fortunate to get ahead in the first corner, and once I was there, I managed to keep it all the way through. It would have been a different story if I hadn't gotten such a good position early on -- I know it is really hard to overtake and fight with those cars. By the way, I'm sorry if I sounded arrogant with my post on the previous page. It was just part of my "scare tactics." Just like the real life drivers do, when they go to the media and either tune up or down the expectations.

Hi all, just watched the replay again and sadly enough we have to give some penalties : Qualify:Sennaboy pressed Shift-P after completing a hotlap and started a new qualify session. Penalty : Unther investigation (will normaly have to start at last position next race) Race :LAP2 LAP7 During Lap 2 and 7 Dustin Luckenbill crosses the pit exit lines . In Lap 2 he completely blockes Scatter with that move ! SLO_Scatter still can put in a complaint for the move within the next 48 hours. Penalty : Add of 20 seconds/cross of pit exit line (see Rule 8.13). So a total of 40 seconds was added to his finish time. Therefore he loses a place from 5th to 6th. Hanziboy goes from 6th to 5th. Hanziboy was 9.94 seconds behind Dustin Luckenbill. Swammy is 1 minute13 seconds behind and does not gain a place. Lap 25 : Also Swammy makes the same mistake. Penalty 20 seconds added to his finish time. And ends now 1 minute and 33 seconds behind Dustin luckenbill. He does not lose a place to SLO_Scatter because SLO_Scatter is to far behind. Swammy comes out of it with just a warning not to make that mistake on next race! Qualif result : 1. Jyuetsch (Gratz) 2. Gnomie 3. Dustin 4. Xtian 5. Sennaboy 6. Old_Mumhra 7. Hanziboy 8. Swammy 9. SLO_Scatter Race Result : 1. Gnomie (Gratz!) 2. Jyuetsch 3. Xtian 4. OLD_Mumhra 5. Hanziboy 6. Dustin Luckenbill 7. Swammy 8. SLO_Scatter DNF : Sennaboy At last a lot of racers made it to the end !!! Gratz !! Even with a difficult car as the FO8 it was no easy job !! Good work !

Hi all,
for me it was ..at last .. a good race!!! I had only 1 goal.. Make some points !! And at lats I did. Qualify ended for me with a 360 on the 2nd hot lap.I was 7th on the starting grid. After a few laps I was even 4 th behind Xtian and.... I was closing on to hime..But with a lot to much risks and I went of end ended alsmost to the last position, but without damage. Then I had nothing to lose so I came back to 4th again..but still had to pit. So I waited as long as I could and so after another spin I went in and came out 6th. Still pushed it to the limit to close the gap on Dustin Luckenbill but before I could start closing the race was over and so I ended 6th. after review it became 5th.. but mostly I'm glad to finaly end into the points .
It was a very clean race I think. Thank you all for keeping your heads cool on the first corners !
Cu all on track !!

During Lap 2 and 7 Dustin Luckenbill crosses the pit exit lines . In Lap 2 he completely blockes Scatter with that move ! SLO_Scatter still can put in a complaint for the move within the next 48 hours. No complaint from me. I just stood on the brakes to keep from hitting him in the rear. Your penalty will suffice. On another note, can anyone tell me why my front tires condition looked black, even though they were not flat? I was using r4's. Is that an indication of flat spotting the tires? I did lock up the brakes a few times, but I could never get any temp built up in the fronts. I'm sorry to J for him getting spun while I was trying to nurse my severely hurt car back to the pits. I watched my map and tried to stay off the track as much as possible. I was even in the grass when he came around the last turn and spun out. Sorry J. I'll watch the replay later to see what really happened, maybe I wasn't far enough off the track as much as I thought I was. Cya on the track

A good race from me... although i used the wrong setup I could not understand it. I was going flatout and still was almost 2 secs a lap slower then normally. Also i could not keep enough heat in my front tyres at all. I was using R4 but it looks like this setup was not suited at all for that. In the opening laps i lost 2 places because of that. After that i was understeering my car the entire time in order to keep heat in the tyres but even that was not enough. Stupid me. I'm convinced that i could've finished on the podium if i only used my usual setup. On another note, can anyone tell me why my front tires condition looked black, even though they were not flat? I was using r4's. Is that an indication of flat spotting the tires? I did lock up the brakes a few times, but I could never get any temp built up in the fronts. The colors of the tyre is the heat of the air inside the tyres. It's the same as the colors of the surface of the tyres. Red means hot, blue means cold but here it's driveable. Black means very cold. You can't heat up the tyre surface with very cold air inside the tyres. I suffered the same problem as you Scatter. For a moment i really thought i had 2 flat tyres at the front but that was just impossible. I had to much grip for flat tyres but not enough for racing fast. Taking R4 on this setup was a very stupid decision. But i never did a race distance with this setup so i did not know it. I just clicked the wrong setup at start lol. Seems like you had the same problem as me.

........But i never did a race distance with this setup so i did not know it....... And that is why we (the admin) do not untherstand that we see not more people on our servers during the week. It is very frustating to drive there all by your self. Also gnomie did 2 x 15 laps.....offline.. why?? Sennaboy and myself even did a start test of 10.. just to know how the car handles on cold tyres and race config.. It is very difficult to find some race experience before to race or to share setups when there are no persons to share it with. We also know there is more in live then LFS. But if you all have the time to drive, it would be nice of you drive it more on our servers and not to drive them offline. Also If you want to test race configuration you can send us a simple mail to put a password on the server. That pasword will be put on the forum, so you can always test full race config. Now we hear to much that racers take the wrong decisions because they did not have enough experience with the combo.. That is why we increase the number of minimum online laps to 50.. people who did not drive that number until saterday night 24:00CET. Otherwhise they have to start from the last positions. So we hope to see more people online and 50 laps on this circuit means 50 minutes so not such a big problem we think.. CU on track !! Hanziboy - Sennaboy

It's true.. often I have time to practice at awkward times (like 10 in the morning on weekdays), so it's not very likely that I'll meet people online anyway. So I have developed a habit of practicing offline. It's not something that I've done on purpose, it's just a habit. But from now on I'll do all my practicing online!

a rather uneventfull race for me except for a light wheel to wheel action at turn 1 with - I think - hanzy (sorry I didn't see you there coming on the ouside). Gnomie was of course unreachable, he of course had a lot of time to practice due to his lack of sexual life but his wife is so ugly I couldn't throw the stone at him **. I saw I could keep second place after midrace if I kept pushing and I pushed so hard I lost it and spun a 360 . I had kept "fix damage" enable as I was sure I would need some repair during race but I didn't and that only made my pitstop too long and I ended third. wich is rather gratifiying for me. I want to thank and congrat everybody for being a good sport and respecting blue flags. I did not run into traffic AT ALL. I'll do my best to train for next race but I have another one of those unexpected extra jobs that came up this week end and for the next weeks :/ ** gnomie, you want scare tactics and psycological war between races ?! you 've got it ! I read that this is what nelson piquet told about nigel mansell in the 80's... just joking. no offense meant.
