brbrbrbr the FO8.. I don't like that car.. don't find it lack of grip realistic. But that will propably my own experiance with the car. Lucky we have a lot of high speed corners on West Hill rev. This commercial design was made by Xtian..Thank you guy !! Cu all on track.. Hanziboy

Busy to install and update XP on my new pc... ;D Don't know if I will be ready to start a test race.. Small tip for you all.. Make some test starts with the FO8 and restart after the completing the first corners. The FO8 is a difficult car not to make a 360 of 180 at the start. And is also a very difficult car to handle in the first corners with the extreme cold tyres. Danny and myself did it this week .. I think at least 10 starts.. Over and over again. It was a very learnable test !! Cu all on track.

Hey Xtian, its really difficult , until I tried this: www.lfsforum.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=2971&d=1131115218This are old S2 sets, so rename them and you will find also two sets for the FO8! I like it. Of course you have to change a bit, because this are generally sets but easy to drive! I hope, I could help you! J

viele dank Jyuetsch, I came to a compromise. probably not a winner but I should keep the car on the road for most of the race

Hello all! Next race is a very difficult track, but i see very few people getting practice After 60-70 laps the tracks becomes fun! instead of one big frustration. Also the setup is very very important here. But this track requires total concentration in all corners, bumps at the exit of the slow ones and sometimes oversteer in the fastcorners. just too late in a fast one and massive oversteer.. very challancing I emailed hanzi an setup. I hope he can put it online here soon. Please first thing to do, adjust the brake force to what suits you best.

one of my problem is to not lock the rear whells when down shifting as I don't have a clutch pedal and you have to let the gaz pedal go to downshift. I use a compromise between inferno's and Jyeutsch's easy sets and I confess that I mostly train offline with AI's to get used to traffic. If you allow me to say so, maybe there's a little too much races in a year to really have time to exercice on such difficult and different cars (fo8, f1, fz5...)

This combo needs a bit more to the front, because engine braking is required in turn one It sounds like your brake-balance is too much to the rear. Having said that, today i gonna test with brake-balance a bit more to the rear . Two weeks between races? with 15 minutes every day(about 10 laps) should be enough to make it around the track. But a good set is critical on this track. Also note, higher formula classes do not use clutch pedals except for start. Also i think engine-gearbox is already synchronised on downshift since braking om engine is less then it was before patch y.

no, sorry, I mean engine braking. When down shifting without even touching the brakes, the rear wheels tends to lock. I guess the solution is to decrease the diffenrencial lock and downshift later with less rpm but that also decrease the engine braking and vivacity of the car. I agree that 15min a day could be enough but that is a lot to ask to some of us with several jobs and a family

I agree that 15min a day could be enough but that is a lot to ask to some of us with several jobs and a family I find it hard to use engine braking since patch Y, because the engine-management does not let you brake much on the engine anymore. I don't understand what the problem is. Its equal for all of us. I know this can happen in lower gears with big diferences in gears. Espacially going from 3rd to 2nd gear in t1 can be difficult. I adjusted the gear ratios to suit the track. Sometimes on downshift to 2nd i have to switch from braking to giving a little bit of throttle to stabalize the car. But that' s how a real car would behave too. If you don' t have a lot of time, concentrate on just having fun and not on winning and fast laps.

I'm looking forward to the race! Finally I'm becoming familiar with the car/track. It sure took some time! I've been doing some endurance racing on the CTRA server lately, and hopefully the practice I got there will help me keep focused throughout the race on Sunday. Because as you say, this race will reuqire 100% focus on every corner. No room for mistakes! One wheel on the grass and you're toast, basically.

Hello,
for tonights race, I like to asked you if you could wait several minutes (maybe 5) before starting qualification when I´m not there then. I know, that it will be very close with me, because I´ll be late @home. Because the racemail will be send so late, I firstly have to check the password and then come online. Thank you but I hope I´m in the time!
J.

I think I'm ready now. I just drove 2x15 laps offline, with no accidents. In the second one I had no laps over 1:26, and my best lap was 1:24,87. I just hope I manage similar performance tonight! I'm looking forward to it. Will we be alerted by the wind conditions in the racemail? I hope it's not a hurricane.
