While our server was down, I tested Simraceway, for two main reasons: - Cars that I miss in LFS: big V8, canam Mc laren from the 60's and mustangs, and old english cars, all very well rendered. - the game is free, and you can buy the cars with money or credits that you earn by driving. Those are the pro's, now the con's: - the landscape and game environment is just ugly - poor force feedback - strange handling of the cars, not very realistic, that almost forces you to use all the arcade driving helps (traction control on a 1966 car ?!) - poor multiplayer: there are only a couple of public races available online (unless you use your paypal account to pay for all the cars), most on ovals, and to race, you must wait that there are enough people joining. you cannot chose the combo. - poor crowd: free game with lot's of driving assistance and invulnerability -> crash party with kids. So all in all, I might go for a spin offline with the canam from time to time, because the handling, as imperfect as it is sucks a lot less than GT-legends, but it's no comparison with our beloved LFS.
