Hi! I have to apology beforehand upcoming race! I will drive TC off &engine brake reduction is 100% = engine brake off, so i hope that you are patient in the race. I`m slower than others (entering corners & left corners) because i have to brake ealier & i can`t throttle like TC on mode. On the other hand, why should everyone too drive that way... More realism. And i promise that it is 100% more fun than driving TC/engine brake on ;D Cya on track

Yes, you are absolutely right, i know it is impossible totally turn engine brake off. I mean electrical braking system help, like F1 rules since 2008. Of course this is not completely same thing in LFS case than really F1 car but it is closer that. I just wanna drive as close as possible real F1 car and i think that this way is closest. Below is quotes from www.ferrarichat.com/forum/f1/189514-f1-engine-braking-explained.html" F1 engine braking explained? Hey guys- can somebody explain to me (or point me to a good resource on the web) the significance of the new regs around engine braking/gear maps this year? I understand the new ECU as it pertains to TC, but I keep reading stuff about how the drivers must brake differently and downshift differently for the corners this year. Is it the same thing (i.e. ECU/TC)? Or, is there another another piece of technology regarding engine braking that is also prohibited now. Forza Ferrari tonight!" " As I understand it: All engines will have engine braking. When you aren't on the gas but still in gear, the cylinders still cycle. When you aren't exploding gas to gain energy, the compression part of the cycle acts to slow the rotation of the engine and thus the wheels. F1 engines in the past could control this engine braking by automatically adding fuel to reduce the effect. This can give optimum braking without locking the wheels. The driver usually wants to apply maximum braking force until the wheels start to lock. If the rear wheels begin to lock before the fronts, the ECU could give a little gas to the engine to reduce the engine braking. This effectively moves the brake bias towards the front mid corner. If the fronts are locking first then more engine braking can be used to move the brake bias towards the rear. The engine mapping programs were also adjustable on the drivers steering wheels. The new ECU's don't allow for this ECU controlled engine braking. It still exists however and can be controlled.... with the drivers right foot! BF1 is 2006 BMW F1 car and in 2006 TC was ON so its full realistic when we all have it ON maybe when in 2008 TC was banned, cars setup was changed to make them more stable so... maybe u have more difficult challange than it's in real. Anyway, Im mouse driver and it's impossible to drive this thing without TC:P Also i have braking help on too, to prevent brake locking wich is main issue when u driving by mouse. And i guess every of this 'helps' slowing me down, i think if u have pedals u can drive faster in BF1 without TC couse u can get little more power in corners than TC allows us.

Yeah, i know that F1 car in LFS is 2006 version. I didn`t said that you or anyone, have to drive TC off. I think same way than Hanzi and as he said "bf1 let's see what practice gives with the TC or not ... Free to choose" Let`s go for funnyyyyyy time ;D An honestly, i hardly could drive any track, even 1 lap, even UF1 with mouse Somebody likes daughters, somebody likes mothers...

The driver can of course feel proud to tame a car like the BF1 with no traction control, there's something brave in it, but on the other hand, it is an element of modernity that has to be understood and set up correctly to go fast, some crew manage to use it at 100% of its advantage, some only at 80% and will be slower. Just like any other novelty like aerodynamics or slick tyres or disk brakes. As mentioned, this particular car was designed to be used with traction control so I see no problem in using it... IF I can make it sunday because I'll be at zolder, if anyone wants to meet

sorry guys, i had to go yesterday. we had a smaal fire with the FD; and sorry to scatter if i pushed him of after my small exit in L1, i tried to rejoin and spin the rear wheels, but forgot we had TC, so it took me the whole road to turn my car around

something very similar happened to me, minus the fire: I put a wheel in the grass and smashed into Scatter, then entered pits to fix damage but somehow I deactivated TC during my pit stop. It took me about 2 laps to understand why this crazy car would spin like a maniac everytime I would push the throttle. By the time I realised TC was off I was so far behind everyone that I could aswell have gone take care of that fire too.
