We hope indeed that, as promissed by LFS, the car will be available at the end of this year. Then we would love to start 1 of the 2 leagues just with the new car on the different tracks. A nice opportunity to learn the new car completely. Cu on track !!

To be honoust i have my doubts about this car. The LFS developers have always said that they want to simulate every form of car racing out there so that is great. But i really don't understand why the Formula BMW. We allready have the FOX which prob is quite similar to that Formula BMW. Another problem that i have with this car is that this car is not so fast. The Formula BMW mod is allready made for rFactor and tho this car is fun its very slow. We all know that rF gives a better impression of speed compared to LFS so i'm a little scared that this car will feel very slow in LFS.

Hi Pé,
I can understand what you mean, but we have here in the league mutch new drivers who had to practice and learn to handle the open wheelers, so its a good car for them dont you think?

Sure it will be a good car. And i'm 100% sure that it will be fun to drive. I just made a comment about me not understanding the developers. First they say they want to simulate every single form of car racing on the planet and now they come out with a car that will be very similar to a car they allready have.
Why don't the make a NASCAR ? Or a BTCC ? Or a WRC ? Or maybe even a dragster ?

I have 0 experience with open wheelers so far, and I think, as Senna said, that this will be a good entry level car for me. So far I only have experience with the XRG, XRT and RAC (slowly learning faster and faster cars with no adjustable downforce), so the open wheelers will be a whole new thing to me. I'm looking forward to it!

I'm really looking forward to next season already. I downloaded the X30 patch tonight, and I think you'll all love it. The formula BMW feels really good IMO, and the new clutch overheating fix will add an extra level to long endurance races. This will be good! Can you download it yet?? It does not come with my automatic download and I don't see it on the LFS website.

What do you think of it so far? I just tried it a little, and I think it has very good grip and is fairly easy to drive, but if you go past the limits -wham!- you suddenly loose grip and spin. Not much warning..
All in all I really like the new patch!

But after installing the patch I had to ... Re-activate, had to reset al my skins and al my settings were gone.. There are now placed in a "setups" map instead of the old settings map...

There's a program over at the LFS forums that converts all your old files and fixes everything for you.

Here it is ! Instructions are a bit down on the page. Very easy to use. And, like you said, be sure to take a backup of all your files before upgrading to the patch!! I simply copied the whole LFS folder.

I simply copied the whole LFS folder. Yes me to copied the whole folder !! And the Car feels great !!!! I think the margin is large enough to make some errors ! I especially like the new way of shifting.. You don't maybe have not noticed it with your manual shifting with your G25, but now we can not stau with the trust pedal floored to the ground when up shifting. And if we tryu to shift up with the rpm in red.. this does not goes so wel.; So perfect timing is essetial. Also on the other cars, when we don't hold the trust for a moment on shifting you burn the Clutch in the long run. more reality.. This effect is less on the BF1. Maybe because half automatic shifting possible there..
