yes, it is "spacebar" / reset and not "shift-p" my mistake. sloknuckles: I understand your situation. without reset my race would have stopped after 25 min (although it also could have ended after 5 when I flew over the gras...) but we just have to be more cautious, stay away from borders, and be a good sport if crash and do not finish. @hanz: maybe you should give the details of the points given for each race. are they extra points for best qualy/race lap and presence points or absence penalties ? giannic : welcome

Ya, I re-read the rules as you suggested. I was still on the gas when J was behind me going across the bridge, but I braked a little too late for that left hander and slid off the right side of the road. I then slid over the the guard rail and that's when I went for a ride that ended with me under the track. But I'm not saying it was J's fault, not at all, I should have braked a touch earlier to set myself up for the left hand turn going up to those esses. The setup I was using didn't help either, too much oversteer (push) in the car. Anyway, my intent was to give J some room to pass since he was clearly faster. I just made a mistake while trying to give him room.

@hanz: What ? They are going full forward with only rF ? Blase.. blasef... blasephmy! How dare they! Anyway, good to be back here. I don't receive the mails anymore so that might be useful to remind me that there is a race upcoming in the week as I'm not really in my "racing rythme" yet (if I even have that..). Just doing the laps on the online server will get me qualified right ? What's the server name (and password) please ? xtian: Thanks!

I have added you to the mailing list and send to you the welcome mail. Also know that if you, for some reason, have not received the race mail I always put of copy of it one the restricted area of this forum, so you have to login to see it. We only go into a private session on test and official races. Yes, when doing enough laps on the online server (now 20 for this track), you are qualified to participate the race qualification. The server is "www.liveforspeed.be A1" but you can find the direct links to both servers on the front page and use them to go directly to them. Just install Join2lfs.

Beniwiwi 12. sccc|GianniC Btw, for Season 4: a good idea might be to pick a car class, and not so much different cars for every race (TBO, GTR,...) and mostly: smaller tracks. It really is a pain in the ass to learn to race at FE4R when you can only race a few hours in the week

Yes for me it was a very good race. Unexpectedly I was able to get pole position, and when Jyuetsch crashed I was on my own. But I managed to keep my concentration and not crash until two laps remained, when I spun around once in the high-speed chicane at the back straight. That could have gone a lot worse! Thankfully my suspension was intact, so I could drive the last two laps as well. As I mentioned I borrowed a 24" monitor from a friend just before the race. I was just barely able to connect it and get it working before the race. It was awesome! Compared to my 17" laptop monitor it seemed bloody huge. But I also think that it made a difference, because the details became so much clearer and it was easier to see stuff. My friend has offered me to buy the monitor from him, but he hasn't given me a price yet, so we'll see.. anyway it was good fun! Now I just hope that I can find my old RAC setup that I lost when I had to re-install Windows on my computer. It was a setup made by Pallukka, and it was definitely the most stable RAC setup I've ever tried. The RAC used to be my favourite car before, so hopefully I'll find it in time for the next race.. Thanks for racing guys, see you next time!

was thinking... another way of keeping close racing and let evryone race as much as possible even after a fatal crash would be to race series of short races on short tracks, like 4 races of 10 minutes rather than one race of 45 min. at the end of the series, overal winner takes the equivalent points of one win. just an idea... more paperwork but there must be some excell wizard around here
