xtian : indeed a great idea and next race is an example of this, even if it is 2 X 20 laps... Still a challenge with the RAC. But on the other hand we also have the endurace lovers. (like me to)... Last race of the season is one of 3 hours !!!!. And that excel problem is not the case, i think even I can do this job. And if not my brother (partner in http://www.petss.be) sure can. The poll on the Safety car procedure has now 4 against 1 pro to go for it. So we sure have to give it a chance to.

I must be looking at the poll results different then, because I see 4 votes in favor of using safety car, and 1 vote safety car during test race only, and 1 vote no safety car at all.
But I wouldn't necessarily call using a safety car as "less realistic". Safety cars are used in most forms of road racing and oval racing. Yes, there are a lot of other series that don't use a safety car like Rally, Drag Racing, Motorcycle Racing, etc. But the main road racing series around the world uses a safety car when needed. Are real life races (F1, ALMS, Rolex Grand Am, IRL) less realistic because they drive the safety car onto the track? No they aren't.

I think he meant in favor of the safety car by 4 votes against 1 vote

OK, most are in favor of deploying the safety car and so we will deploy it in....Season 4. Like Sennaboy told me, deploying new rules in an existing season is not so good. And he is right in F1 or other disciplines, new drastic rules are deployed at the start of a new season, not during So take it slow.. but safe.... or fast but without risk ..or less risk

Hi guys! I just came back from a three day hiking trip in the mountains. I'm pretty exhausted right now, and I don't think I'll make it to the test race tonight.. I fear I'd get the cramps within two laps of the race! But I'll be there next week!

Looks like PURE nature there.. nice nice nice !!! Was indeed a nice test race yesterday.. Maybe we need to start a test race or unofficial league .... ;D ;D I mostly have good results in those test races.. Two times second yesterday !! Was nice .. very nice !! Although it was tough for the most .. In the second race only Xtian an myself were racing in the same lap.. so again a difficult but very nice combo. And there is only one thing to do .. PRACTICE !!!! And as told, I have changed my training method to only testing with race fuel/tires... so no hotlaps for me again.. and I think I already saw the result of that yesterday...

Sounds good! I was so tired yesterday, I went to sleep early. But now I'm back in action! I need to practice this car.. it used to be my favourite, but now I'm nowhere near my old personal best time on this layout. I need to practice! And tweak my setup some more. I think it's a great idea to practice only with race setups! I almost never race with anything else. (Normally for qualifications I just use my race setup, but with softer tires and less fuel) As you've said before, consistency is all that matters in the end!

I'm going away this weekend to a friend of mine's cabin, so I won't be here for Sunday's test race. Have fun, and drive safe!
