If it's easy for the guy in 2nd place to take over the lead after a restart then it is just as easy for that guy that has been overtaken to take back his place. Logic, not ? You come with excuses like cold tyres and used up tyres. Well.. the guy who was behind the leader in the last lap behind the safety car had the same problems. He also has cold tyres and used tyres. If you say that it is not easy to take back 1st place then it is not easy for the 2nd guy to overtake the leader just after a safety car either.
Stupid discussion Sennaboy. We all have stated our feelings about this. Now let's just wait to hear what the admins have to say. On raceday we will play like they tell us. Either way is fine by me. I just said that maybe it was better if the leader was not allowed to slow down. You think otherwise. But it is not upto us to make the rules. It's upto the admins. I'm just a bit sad that you were never at the back of the pack so that you could've felt 1st hand how difficult it was not to crash.

It´s not the first time i have seen discussions like this. I have seen it in IGTC and in other leagues. There the discussion was much more personal, so I´m happy about, that we keep this to real arguments and not like, "you are stupid, you are bad etz", (said in many ways).
As long it´s not a personal debate, even it´s criticism, i think it´s constructive, And we all konow that it´s the admins who have the final word. And if we just get a few steps ahead, then it´s good! Nobody say, that things can´t change again in the future, if we get wiser, somehow.

LOL stupid sennaboy i know greets sennaboy Where have i said that ? I have said :"stupid discussion" and with that i mean that this will lead us nowhere. We have both stated our opinions in this matter and we let the admins decide how it is going to be. I'm not saying that what i say is correct or is how it should be done. I'm just stating my opinion on the restart after a safetycar. If the admins decide that what you suggested is the way to go then i'll be happy to play it like that. I just thought that there was room for some improvement here. And.... i would appreciate it if, in the future, you would not put words in my mouth. Only read what i typed, don't go searching in between the lines.

THAT'S the spirit my boy ok. could we not forget that we're all in for the fun and even if we all have a dying appetite for a certified kill, that must not get in the way of respect and politeness please? after all, we ARE gentlemen drivers. let's not pick a fight on every word or opinion. first guy to pass the line is the winner. period.

Please keep this up to the high level we were on to.. If we don't write "special" words here, they also can not be mis understood. I thank you all for your opinions !!! It helped us a lot. Rules are finished and in the translating room.. So cool down does heads and wait just a little more.. Thank you all again !!!!

At last the rules are online.. You can find them in English on our front page. The Dutch and French version can be read in the "Rules" page. Jyuetsch is putting some valuable time into translating the rules into German.. We know some will not agree with some rules and some will find the excellent.. But we hope we did more good then bad. The number of rules on the safety car are large.. but simple to follow.. The only reason the number is that large is to shortcut every way to abuse the safety car situation. I remember that the Safety car rules are active from now on for every practice and official race on Sunday evening. So it VERY important everybody read them carefully and understand this. I also would want everybody to ask to be online at 20:15 CET this Sunday.. This for briefing, questions and answers about this new subject.

Just a question...You write, there has to be max. 2 car lengths between the cars under SC. Did you mean max, not min. or app.? It´s just to be sure, that it´s not an error

It´s just to be sure, that it´s not an error The max distance between de SC and the follower must be 2 car lengths.. This is a rule just to avoid the space between the pace car and the following car grows to big. This also means the 2nd car has to be at a max distance of 2 car lengths for the first one... But we will not measure this off course. But I think everybody can follow what we are trying to say here.

Yes, it's maximum (max.). That means you can't be any farther from the SC than 2 car lengths.

Is it 3 hours today or 1,5 hours like in the testrace? I hope for 1,5 hours, because my blood in the right foot, will stop and hurt a lot, when pushing the accelerator pedal. It´s torture
I have invited my good friend [TDRT] Andreas Kongshavn (heagles) to participate in this race, but he is waiting for approval to enter the forum. He has practiced tonite with me sufficient.
